London Road Hall was opened for the “holding of meetings for the worship of God and for the preaching and expounding of the word of God both to adults and children” in 1898. Since this time, Christians have met together regularly at the hall for worship, fellowship and prayer.
We seek to uphold the truths of God’s word, revealed within the Holy Scriptures; to deepen the faith of those who meet together and to provide a witness to those in our local area.
We hold a reformed, protestant position with regard to doctrine and are Baptist in matters of church practice. The church is fully independent, although we enjoy fellowship with similar churches in the area.
We are wholeheartedly evangelical and seek to spread the good news of the Lord Jesus Christ and to fulfill the great commission.
We use Christian Hymns (original version) and the NKJV Bible version in our services of worship.

Facilities
Facilities for visitors with disabilities
All of the main areas of the church building are accessible to wheelchair users. We have a single toilet area that has been enlarged and equipped for visitors with physical disabilities.
An amplification system is used in the main hall during our services.
Larger print hymn books and Bibles are available.
Although the parking area is a short distance from the building, the route to it is level and a pedestrian crossing is available to cross London Road. The location is in the grounds of St. Mary’s Hospital and we have permission to park there. If required, visitors can be dropped off directly outside the building.
Facilities for parents with small children
Children of all ages are welcome at our Sunday services and we are quite used to the sound of little voices! However, a room is provided at the front of the church equipped with a few materials for children, should you wish to use it at any point during the service.
